Owner of Chelsea’s General Store & Pickin’ Post, Chelsea Wyatt, is “itchin’ to do some pickin’ ”—Bluegrass music picking that is— at her new store on the square in downtown Rockville, Indiana at 113 South Jefferson Street.
Just recently opened, this 25,000 square foot store offers three floors of all sorts of treasures making it a one of a kind antique store with more than just antiques. You will also find primitives, handcrafted items from artisans, a salvage basement where you can find barn and architectural salvage and more. Chelsea wants to bring a general store feel to her customers where you can shop at leisure, find an old treasure or a special gift for someone—or for yourself! You will always find Bluegrass music playing— sometimes live bands and individuals will be on hand “pickin”. Chelsea says if you are a musician, you are always welcome to come and pick bluegrass! Her parents were vivid collectors and history buffs and she fondly remembers going to flea markets and antique stores with them, all the while learning the value of history, antiques and a deep love of bluegrass music.
Chelsea’s General Store & Pickin Post is open daily seven days a week Monday- Saturday 10-5 Sunday’s 12-5.
