Tabitha McGowan is the new owner of the former Country Folks Farmers Market, west of Bainbridge on Highway 36 at U.S. 231. Tabitha and her husband have property in Parke County that he uses for hunting and they noticed the popular little market on their trips to the area. The store seemed like a good investment toward their retirement and 2020 became their first year as store owners.
Rustic Country Charm offers everything from flowers, plants, hanging baskets and birdhouses to jams, jellies and Gray Brothers Pies. You’ll find a nice selection of wooden lawn furniture and items to accentuate your garden or lawn. Many seasonal items are available, spring, summer and fall. Owner Tabitha is a happy-go-lucky, friendly person and wants her customers to enjoy their visit along with some good conversation.
While Rustic Country Charm doesn’t consider itself a traditional roadside market, a stroll through the store will give you many sights and scents; from fresh grown produce and flowers to pies, jellies, jams and noodles. You can take home pumpkins, grown by the hundreds. You’ll find gourds, Indian corn, wind chimes, mums and so much more. You are sure to enjoy browsing and finding items not found in any city grocery store. Stop in for a visit.
Open April 1st through October 31, Monday-Friday 10 - 6, Saturday 9 - 5 Sunday Noon - 5.
